Nritya Milana - Our fight against childhood cancer!!

KKNC proudly presents Nritya Milana, a spectacular dance performance by PAMPA dance academy, to benefit a hospital local to the bay area. All proceeds from this event go to the cancer research fund of Packard Children's Hospital in Palo Alto.

AKKA is inviting all Kannada Kootas to participate in the Meravanige Event. We have already received responses and have assigned the following themes:
1.Triveni of New Jersey - Assigned Krishna Janmashtami
2.Mallige Kannada Koota of West Virginia - Assigned Ganesh Chathurthi
We sincerely request and encourage all Kannada Kootas to respond as soon as possible indicating their 1st and 2nd choices in order for us to assign the requested themes on a first come first serve basis. Please visit http://www.akkaonline.org/2010/documents/Meravanige.pdf for the Meravanige Themes and other details for participating in the Meravanige Event.

Also, please provide us with the correct name, phone number and e-mail address of the contact person from your organization who will be responsible for coordinating with the AKKA WKC 2010 Meravanige Committee for making this event memorable.

Our traditional Karnataka dresses for occasions such as Ugadi:
Men: Please wear silk panche, shirt and optionally Shalya too.
Women: Please wear traditional silk sarees or lang-daavani (let us see how many of you even have these langa-daavani!!)

We have taken all your feedback very seriously and fixed many problems which you brought to our notice.

Mainly, Parking! We have additional parking available this time, courtesy Advanced Linear Devices at 413 Tasman Dr. (right next to the church!)

Call for Volunteers

KKNC 2010 committees request you all to come forward and help out with jhEnkaara, our Ugadi event preparations and execution.
We need volunteers in several areas. Please reach out to us via email at volunteers@kknc.org . You can also call us at 510-862-2243/650-868-9186.
NOTE: High school and Middle school students that volunteer at jhEnkaara will be awarded Community hours by KKNC
